Julie Corrigan conducts research at the nexus of technology, writing, and assessment. Her research has been recognized with grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (federal) and the Fonds de Recherche de Québec (provincial). Additionally, her work as been published in leading peer-reviewed journals including Computers & Education, Research in the Teaching of English, the Canadian Journal of Education, the Nordic Journal of Digital Literacy, and Assessing Writing. Julie also co-authored “Writing Research from a New Literacies Lens,” an invited chapter for the Handbook of Writing Research (second edition), widely considered the authoritative text for writing researchers.
In addition to her research, Julie is also an Assistant Professor of Digital Literacies at Concordia University in Montreal where she teaches graduate courses in educational technology and research methods. Prior to teaching at the post-secondary level, Julie was K-12 English and media arts teacher in Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada. Julie also volunteers as an associate editor with the International Journal of Multiple Research Approaches and with the school breakfast program in her community. |
